NEMA has a number of disaster response initiatives currently in motion.
NEMA Field Representative Bryan Holland will head to Houston later this month to meet with impacted building departments and participate in damage assessment and equipment inspections in the City of Houston. He is also meeting with affected NEMA member facilities to help assess and document the impact of the storm and flooding on the EVSE network in the region. NEMA Northeastern Field Representative Jack Lyons is assisting Holland with Hurricane Irma response/recovery efforts.
Also, NEMA has launched the online Storm Reconstruction Toolkit that creates one central portal for information and resources and includes live Twitter feeds from both NEMA and ESFI as well as links to ESFI resources. Visit the microsite at www.nema.org/rebuild-smart.
On September 13, NEMA and the International Electrical Contractors (IEC) will present a free webinar on NEMA's Evaluating Water-Damaged Electrical Equipment Guidelines for suppliers, installers, inspectors, and users of electrical products. This webinar will be recorded and posted on the NEMA Storm Reconstruction Toolkit as well as pushed out on NEMA social media channels.
