The National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) today announced Desiree Grace, vice president, Sales & Marketing, ANAMET Electrical, Inc., as the 2017 Women in Industry Trailblazer Award recipient. Grace will be recognized at the Welcome Dinner during the Women in Industry Forum taking place June 26-29 at the JW Marriott Mall of America in Minneapolis, Minn.
The award honors Grace for her outstanding and dedicated service to the association, its Women in Industry Forum and the electrical distribution industry at large.
“It’s unexpected and very humbling,” said Grace. “The other Trailblazers, they are women I admire and respect.”
After a stint in insurance sales and in retail as a buyer, Grace answered an ad in the paper for an inside sales rep with an electrical distributor. “They hired me and the rest is history,” Grace said.
In addition to her work at ANAMET, Grace is active in NAED giving her time and support to the Women in Industry group having served on the recruitment subcommittee in the past and attending the events. Click here to learn more about her.
