Mission
tED magazine's Best of the Best awards program exists to honor marketing excellence and recognize creativity within the electrical industry in companies of all sizes. The success of a marketing program is often difficult to measure in tangible terms; therefore the awards program provides winners with the opportunity to show that their work is highly regarded within their own industry. In addition, over the years, the program has become a way to benchmark a company's efforts against those of its peers.
Why enter?
It's all about recognition. The Best of the Best awards program provides marketers with a way to showcase their achievements. From top CEOs to leading marketing professionals to its entire readership—both online and in print—tED magazine has created a platform to make sure winning campaigns are noticed.
The year's categories:
- Brand Awareness: Specific marketing effort directed at customers and/or prospective customers to create further awareness of a company’s brand. The campaign should result in the audience correctly associating the company with the products and/or services presented in the campaign.
- Digital Campaign: E-mail campaign, online newsletter, podcast, blog, wiki, or other digital media campaign used to educate and further market products and services.
- Direct Promotion: Direct mail, postcards, flyers, brochures, catalogs, or inserts
- Event: Training, customer appreciation, special events, trade show, or counter day promotions.
- Integrated Promotional Campaign: Three to eight complimentary components used to promote the same marketing effort. Entries should consist of no more than eight pieces; however additional pieces may be described, but should not be sent with the entry. Multiple pieces should be mounted together on ONE board. If this is not possible, please photograph the pieces and mount the photo to the entry board.
- Literature/Selling Tool: Literature, brochure, binder, CD, disk, video, or line card. Please include a printout of disks or CDs.
- Merchandising: Product displays, signage, packaging, or information provided for point-of-sale promotion to customers. Do not submit actual items unless small enough to mount on 11”x 17” or 16”x 20” board. If item is too large, please submit photo.
- Print Campaign: Individual newspaper, magazine, or billboard advertisements.
- Product Launch: Introduction of a new product to customers in 2009
- Public Relations/Community Outreach: Publicity campaigns that produce magazine, e-zine, or newspaper placement, or company media kit or press releases.
- Publication: Newsletter or magazine, directed at customers/prospective customers.
- Websites: New website, campaign or redesign. Websites will be judged live, please include a print-out of screens described in the entry summary and any necessary passwords or access codes. If submitting a redesign, please provide screen shots of former site.
