THE DAY AFTER: PHOTOS & MORE FROM NECA'S SHOW
Below find a few extra photos taken by your humble reporter (Joe Salimando) at the NECA Show. Yes, I am a remarkably mediocre photographer; another way of saying this is -- for a writer, I'm a heck of a photographer. And: For a singer, I'm one heck of a dancer!
By the way: To see NECA's blog on its own convention, go here .

One booth featuring alternative energy/energy efficiency was this one, from IBEW Local 164. Cognoscenti know that LU 164 is in New Jersey(and we all were gathered in Seattle!). What was this local doing here? I asked these fellows. They wanted to show their support, they said -- and talk about green.

Caught by the camera: Kate Howard O'Connell, left, marketing communications specialist with Philips Color Kinetics -- at a booth that displayed LEDs. The other photographer (who is accomplished, unlike yours truly) is Rob Colgan, director of marketing for NECA. Rob is also the chairman at the National Lighting Bureau .

Last year, the NECA-IBEW team (constituted for marketing purposes as the National Labor-Management Cooperation Committee of the organized electrical construction industry had a full-sized race car, driven by Alli Owens. Note that I am the marketing coordinator for this group. In 2009, the NLMCC -- like everyone else -- has worked to conserve cash. It couldn't afford a booth big enough to accommodate a race car. As a result, THIS car was in the booth . . . roughly the size of both your hands put together. Owens helps the NECA-IBEW team with recruiting new apprentices; see ElectrifyingCareers.com .

The sign behind this fellow says "Huge Factory Discounts."

Schneider Electric had a full-sized booth elsewhere, but it had this 10-by-10 thing right up front by the main entry door. In addition to the bike and the poster of this fellow from a Cable TV show that I've never watched, there was a video featuring the fellow. Eaton and Siemens were also on hand. See the list of exhibitors (which is sortable by booth # and name) here .
