Richard DeBlasio—he’s
chief engineer for renewable electricity and end-use systems at the National
Renewable Energy Lab (a DOE unit). He was honored recently with the 2010 Charles
Proteus Steinmetz Award from the IEEE Standards Association. Before taking on
his current position, DeBlasio worked for 10 years as “principal laboratory
program manager for electricity” R&D programs, according to a release.
Jose Mas—he’s CEO of MasTec, the powerline/communications/broadband
contractor. He’s now serving a two-year term on the National Advisory Council
on Minority Business Enterprise at the U.S. Department of Commerce.

FROMM ADDS PEEK, AGAIN—Steve Peek, who has 35-plus years
of experience in the electrical industry, has returned to Fromm Electric
Supply (Reading, Pa.) as a lighting specialist. He’s now part of the commercial
construction team. |
Paul Giler |
GEXPRO NAMES GILER—Paul Giler is now manager at the Charlotte,
N.C., branch for GEXPRO (part of the Rexel Group). With 26 years of electrical
industry experience (including 13 at WESCO and 13 at Rockwell Automation),
he joined GEXPRO on Sept. 20. |
INFOR WELCOMES THREE—
Duncan Angove—an
enterprise software industry veteran, he’s now president of products, marketing,
and support. He most recently was general manager of the Retail Global Business
Unit at Oracle.
Pam Murphy—during
an 11-year stretch at Oracle, she was responsible, Infor said, for operational
and financial functions. She’s now corporate senior vice president of operations.
Stephan Scholl—he’s
now executive vice president of global field operations. He also moved over
from Oracle, where he was general manager of the Utilities Global Business Unit.

LEGRAND PROMOTES BAUSCH—Scott Bausch is now regional vice
president for sales of electrical wiring systems in the Northeast, according
to Syracuse’s Post Standard. Bausch came to the company in 2004 as
a product line manager; most recently, he was marketing manager for commercial
and industrial products and director of product marketing. |
LSI’s NEW PREXY—it’s
Scott Ready, who was (and remains) president of LSI Industries’ lighting
segment, according to The Business Courier (Cincinnati), while taking
the post as the parent company’s president. Previous occupant of the position:
Bob Ready, Scott’s father, LSI’s co-founder, and its present chairman.
SUNOVIA HIRES TADIC—Steve
Tadic has joined the EvoLucia Aimed LED Lighting division of Sunovia Energy
Technologies as regional vice president sales. With 20 years of sales experience
in lighting, controls, and energy management, he oversees EvoLucia activity
in the United States. According to Sunovia’s release, Tadic worked for Rexel
from 1990-1997, where he reportedly “designed an energy audit program.”
TRI-ED MAKES CHANGES—Tri-Ed/Northern
Video Distribution has named Pat Comunale president/COO, according to
CE Pro. His 25 years of experience in manufacturing and distribution
organizations includes participation on the team that in 2005 purchased Tri-Ed
Distribution from Tyco International. Also:
James Rothstein—is
now executive vice president of sales and marketing. He has 20-plus years of
industry experience, including six as senior vice president at Tri-Ed.
Paul Swan—now
a vice president of sales and marketing, he is responsible for branch sales
in the Canadian market.
