Chicago-based Evergreen Supply Company is looking to hire five employees. The company's hiring plans captured the attention of both NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams and ABC's Chicago affiliate WLS-TV.
A report featured on NBC Nightly News on Feb. 3, focused on the latest job numbers, the economy and the fact that manufacturing jobs are on the rise. The report also mentioned that some small businesses are starting to add more employees and showed Evergreen Supply Company as an example of companies that are growing. Colleen Kramer, Evergreen Supply Company's president, is featured in the video piece below.

WLS-TV in Chicago also came to Evergreen Supply Company for a story about a drop in the unemployment rate. The report says that Kramer's plans to hire more employees in the next six months is proof that the economic recession "is finally losing its grip."
